Rabbi Amichya Even Yisrael

Hebrew Translator

Rabbi Amichya Even Yisrael is the son of the legendary Rabbi Adin Even Yisrael (Steinsaltz) זצ״ל — one of the greatest Torah scholars of the modern era, renowned above all for his monumental commentary on the Babylonian Talmud that made the study of Talmud accessible to millions of Jews worldwide.

Amichya serves as chief editor at the Steinsaltz Center publishing house, where he carries forward the family legacy of making Torah wisdom accessible in clear, precise language. His exceptional command of both English and Hebrew, coupled with a deep understanding of the world of Torah scholarship, ensured a translation of the highest possible caliber.

The Hebrew translation of Holy Intimacy — titled אינטימיות מקודשת — preserves every nuance and subtlety of the English original while reading naturally and fluently in Hebrew. This is an achievement that demands not only linguistic mastery but also a profound understanding of the subject matter and its sensitivity.
